I was born in 1936, the first child of Henry (always known as Harry) Storer and Annie Reed Appleby, daughter of Bill and Margaret Appleby (nee Oxley). I was followed by Michael in 1945, Margaret, 1952, and Kevin (aka Harry) in 1956, all born in North Shields.
