Hello and Welcome to the Storer family Web site. If your name is Storer maybe we are related. Read on and learn of our beginnings in Rothbury, Northumberland, in the 1500s.
My name is Alan Storer, I was born in North Shields, Northumberland, and I began researching my family history in Jan. 2001. Like many people I had little knowledge of my ancestry beyond parents and grandparents but, once started, I was in for some surprises.
Aims & Hopes
Why am I doing this? Well, I think a lot of people have an interest in their forebears, where they came from and how they arrived at where they are.
My aim is to present a potted version of our FH to any other Storers around the world (there aren’t that many of us), and hope they find it of interest. I hope, too, to reach other directly related Storers - maybe they can help fill in some of the gaps.
For instance, we know there were related Storers in London and South Africa some 50/60 years ago. One of them married an Italian Contessa; are there any there today? Contact with other relatives has produced photos, an original birth certificate over 130 years old, and other memorabilia. In short we can all contribute. So there it is, if you want to get in touch you’ll find me
