The following is a list of those without whose help this Family History would not have been possible.
Mrs D. Whitaker
As I stated earlier we owe a great deal to Mrs Whitaker. She began researching in 1985 and her efforts produced the tree which is central to our knowledge of our ancestry. She has also supplied copies of wills and other documents.
Her grandmother was Sarah Hannah Storer b1859, fourth and youngest child of Thomas Collins Storer b1826 (and sister to my gt grandfather G. L Storer). Her parents were Thomas Storer Johnston and Elizabeth Grace Clark. Dorothy left Shields in 1932 and after some very interesting travels now lives on the South Coast.
Her contribution has been enormous and I owe her a very large Thank You.
Mr. John Baty john@johnbaty.fsnet.co.uk
John lives in Cheltenham and has done a lot of work on his family tree. His grandmother was Mary Storer b1871, the daughter of Robt Storer b1829, a direct link back to Jonathan. Mary married John’s maternal grandfather William Sibbald Wilson, a marine engineer, in 1893.; John was born in Darlington in 1925.
He is a very active researcher (a part of his wife’s family, the Boydells, have traced her ancestry back to the Conquest, which is going some) and has done a lot of work regarding the ancestry of Thomas Storer b1727.
Mrs. Moira Bell nanny_bell@hotmail.com
Moira lives In Plymouth. She is descended from Mary Elizabeth Storer b1834, her gt grandmother and daughter of Jonathan.
Moira has provided a lot of information regarding her family, including newspaper reports of two ships colliding in the North Sea in 1870. Her gt gt grandfather Wm Smythe was second officer on one of the ships in the collision.
Mr. Kevin (aka Harry) Storer
Our youngest brother, who lives in Sydney. He has done a lot in bringing our Australian relatives together
